1.5 Committees and College Management

The main academic committee in the College is Academic Board to which a number of other important committees report including: Academic Development Committee (ADC), Learning Quality and Standards Committee (LQSC) and the Research Committee. It is through these committees and their subcommittees and working groups that the College seeks to maintain academic standards and enhance the student learning experience and develop its response to internal and external professional and educational needs.

The management structure of the College also has an associated set of committees led by the Senior Management Committee that meet to ensure the College’s financial and institutional sustainability and place within the marketplace etc.

A summary of the College’s committees and their role in assuring quality and standards is in section 6, Appendix 2.

Full terms of reference for all the College’s Committees can be found in the Committee Handbook
